How I Make Money Online Step By Step

Throughout this article I am going to explain step by step how I make money online.  For those of you who are familiar to making money online you are going to think I am nuts giving away the so called secrets to creating an income online as the number of high selling and high priced products from so called gurus are making a ton of money by basically providing the same type of information in a e-book.  The reason why I am doing this is I am tired of people getting ripped off by purchasing these get rich products and finding out that they are basically a waste of money and they are no closer to success then from when they first started.

Finding A Product To Promote

This is actually the key to making money online for if you do not have the right product than there is really no point in trying to promote it.  The trick is to find a product that people want to buy but at the same time does not have a ton of marketers trying to make money off of.  When I first started I picked the FarmVille strategy guide and to be honest it was probably a poor decision as it has taken a ton of work to even get it listed near the top of the Google search engine plus the main people searching for FarmVille cheats are young people without an access to a credit card so overall not a great pick.  When you are trying to find a product that you want to promote pick something that you have an interest in as it will make the next part so much easier.  To do all of the so called research I use a number of different tools that are provided with my forty dollar monthly membership to Wealthy Affiliate University.  By using keyword research, clickbank research and a couple of others I have a good idea how popular a product is and how many people are promoting it.

Setting Up A Website

Well not really a website but what is known as a squeeze page.  Basically the squeeze page is designed to get the readers interest and have them click over to the retailers website and hopefully a sale takes place which in turn pays you a commission ranging from fifty to seventy five percent.  The creation of the squeeze page is pretty easy as it is all drag and drop technology in a neat little package called Site Rubix which is a award winning software program that is included in the Wealthy Affiliate University membership.  Once I have designed the squeeze page, normally takes ten minutes, it is time to figure out what the heck we want to call the website.  What you want to do is have your keyword in the title of the website which increases the chances of Google and other search engines finding it.  One of my main keywords was Facebook FarmVille Cheats and the name of my website is http://www.facebookfarmvillecheats.com/ . Now that example worked pretty well but there are so many domains out there that are registered finding the right one can be tricky at times.  It cost around ten bucks a year to register a particular domain name although it is possible to get them cheaper but I would recommend sticking with a domain that end in dot com.  If you want you can get your new website hosted at a number of different companies which charge anywhere from seven to ten bucks a month.  Again with my Wealthy Affiliate University membership I can host unlimited websites through their hosting site for free so if I took the independent route I would be paying close to sixty bucks a month to host all of my sites which would suck but thankfully Wealthy Affiliate includes it with their forty dollar a month membership.

Promoting Your Website And Your Product

I tend to use article marketing to promote all of my websites for the simple reason being it is free and can be very effective.  There is the option of PPC advertising but to be honest unless you really know what you are doing this is a very fast way to lose money so I stick with the free method aka bum marketing aka article marketing.  When it comes to article marketing the key is a lot of content in a lot of different areas and all of which point towards your squeeze page.  I have created a number of websites on Squidoo, Web.com, Blogger and a number of others that all point towards my squeeze page and best of all does not cost me a cent.  There are also a number of article directories that rank very well and can quickly help you get your product up there in a Google search although some of them take forever to approve your article and a couple of them tend to be incredibly picky.  It should be noted that a number of the article directories will not allow you to direct link straight to a retailer so you need a squeeze page in order to get some link love.  Article marketing does work but do not expect overnight results as this rarely happens as you need to put a ton of work in to writing articles, building websites and submitting articles before you really get noticed.  The use of social bookmarking is changing the way people make money online and this area can not be ignored.  I having been using Tweet Adder for a couple of months so I have over twenty five thousand followers on Twitter which brings in traffic although I still need to work to improve in this area.  Forums are also a great place to promote your website though be careful not to get stuck with the spammer label

Asking For Help

There are a lot of little things that people do not mention when it comes to making money online and to be honest it is a royal pain in the butt.  The Wealthy Affiliate University membership gives you access to a ton of people who have traveled the same road that you and I are on and will help you through the hurdles.  Also the membership gives you a ton of resources to learn the ins and outs of article marketing, PPC, and anything else you could think of when it comes to making money online.

Keep It Simple

There is no end point when it comes to making money online as if you do it the right way you basically figure out what works and repeat.  Certain products thrive at different time of the years, some products zoom to the top and disappear while others will be a consistent money earner for a long time to come.  What you need to do at this point is figure out what worked and try to duplicate it with a new market or the same market but with a different approach.  One website making a hundred bucks a month is nice but having twenty websites making a hundred bucks a month each is a lot nicer.  Than again there is the make money online dream which is finding the right product at the right time that makes you so much money you do not need to worry about the rest of your websites.  Wealthy Affiliate University is the home of a number of people who easily clear a hundred thousand a year, I hope to be there one day but have a long way to go, by using the methods described in this article.
